Barbara Ralston

One of our most significant leaders and clearly, one of our most diligent fundraisers, Barbara Ralston, is a shining example of what a great board member and donor can be. After chairing three terms as Board Chair, Barbara stepped into the role of Co-Chair of the Women’s Resource Center in 2000 taking-on the Capital Campaign responsibilities for the building and first three years operational budget. Barbara pulled together a stellar team to help her and led the charge to raise nearly $7 million in a short 18 months. If that wasn’t enough, Barbara and her husband, Gene, also stepped-up to make a generous personal gift toward the building of this Center.

Each year Barbara has been there to support the Gala, attend the Golf Tournament and buy tickets for most every event Fresh Start initiates. She has encouraged other board members and has enlisted the support of companies with whom she has been affiliated. Camelback Community Bank, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, the Helios Foundation, among others, have made significant gifts over the last years due to Barbara’s belief in Fresh Start’s work.
