Fresh Start has been blessed with many corporate supporters who believe in the work of the Jewell McFarland Lewis - Fresh Start Women’s Resource Center. When you visit the Center you will see the names of those corporations and individuals who help build our magnificent Center. The list following highlights some of our most significant corporate partners.

Banner Health has believed in the work of Fresh Start from the beginning and was one of the first corporations to substantially commit to the building of the Jewell McFarland Lewis-Fresh Start-Women’s Resource Center. Their multi-million dollar land lease gift, allows Fresh Start to occupy 2 acres of land at 1130 E. McDowell Road for seventy-five years with payments of only $1 a year. In addition, their security guards patrol our property daily and their facilities personnel are available as needed for moving interior meeting room walls. All this at no cost to Fresh Start. Banner’s commitment to women in our community is evident through this partnership with Fresh Start. We are most grateful to them for these gifts.

Westcor’s million dollar, five-year commitment to Fresh Start began on December 31, 2001. Since then, Fresh Start has been the beneficiary of their incredible corporate generosity. Westcor has helped sponsor our annual Mentor/Mentee Holiday Party, made the Red Bucket holiday food giveaway possible for our mentees and partner agencies and delivered thousands of books to our self-help library through its annual book drive at Valley malls. They have increased Fresh Start’s visibility through on-site banners, signs and mall promotions, as well.
Their employees have donated their time as volunteers and their merchants have donated clothing and other much needed items to our women. They have helped equip our ChildWatch center and distributed thousands of catalogs at their in-mall customer service centers. Westcor’s creativity and continual support has been a blessing to us and an unbelievable example to others.

The Arizona Republic/AZ Society is the presenting sponsor of the 2006 Fresh Start Fashion Gala. This $50,000 annual commitment makes them one of Fresh Start’s largest, ongoing donors. This significant contribution to the success of Fresh Start’s signature event helps support the many programs made available by the Jewell McFarland Lewis-Fresh Start Women’s Resource Center.

Salt River Project has been an on-going benefactor of the programs Fresh Start delivers from their initial contribution through our Capital Campaign through three separate loaned executives that have been given to Fresh Start annually since 2003, shortly after our Center opened. Their loaned executive program has provided high-level corporate energy to the work of the foundation and is truly one of our most remarkable community gifts.

In the early years of the Fresh Start Women’s Foundation, Bank of America, generously supplied office space year-after-year. For five consecutive years, all furnishings, office supplies and equipment were donated to Fresh Start. They were major donors to our capital campaign and continue to give us sizeable annual gifts to support our work. Our beautiful facility is home to much of the furniture gifted by this remarkable corporate citizen.

Our deep gratitude also goes to American Express and Wells Fargo for their ongoing financial contributions, their sponsorship of various events and their other efforts to help support our work.
